The north-eastern states of India have their unique requirements in skill based training. Skill development has to get utmost importance in the region if we are to keep pace with the rest of the world and improve our economy. This is possible only through skilled manpower in various sectors and more self-employment.Skill development infrastructure in the Northeast is not sufficient to meet the requirements of the people in the region. So, a concerted effort is essential to address the critical skill shortage.
Brahmaputra Foundation is initially focusing on a few key areas of Self Employment, Career Enhancement and New Job Creation. We believe that it is important for the youth to receive specialised training programmes, workshops, soft skills training, vocational, technical and curricular development as it gives an opportunity for development to help upgrade their lives and career opportunities. Brahmaputra Foundation is working in the RTE (Reach, Train and Engage) approach in this initiative.

Our Approach for Skill Development

With an objective of training more and more individuals in the northeast region, Brahmaputra Foundation plans to work in the RTE approach-

REACH

To identify and reach the individuals who require skilldevelopment.

TRAIN

To train the individuals in line with their special requirements

ENGAGE

To engage them where they can use their skill set and earn livelihood.
